St. Petersburg, the Palace and Park ensemble of STRELNA.

      "The Consulate village" occupies the territory of the Eastern park of the palace and park ensemble of Strelna. From the South side the land is bordered by the former Leningrad Arctic college. From the North side it has a boundary with the Gulf of Finland. From the Western side – the piece of land is very close to the Lower Constantinovsky park. From the Eastern is neighboring to the masses of wood.

      It is planned to build on the territory of "The Consulate village" a range of 12 estates of the diplomatic residences, each of the following being the separated building of 2-3 floors composed by the individual project. The total square of each residence is approximately determined as 1000 - 1500 square meters with 12-15 m of total height each one.

"The Eastern park".

      Basis of the compositional designing of "the consulate village" is the socalled Diagonal alley. According to the following, the basic principle could be the landscape planning with certain amendments of regular episodes that can allow to preserve the general idea of the composition traditional for such a place: a contradiction of order and chaos (the regular baroque eastern park jeweled by the landscape "wild" park compositions). We can add that both Lower and Western parks are composed in a curious ensemble by the co-existence of axis and determination of volume objects on the crossroads of the signifi-cant crisscrosses. The objects characterizing the place, such as the bee pavilion with the collection of beehives, northern green - houses, the garden "Arboretum", the canal "Arboretum", the pavilion "Sawmill") have a certain historical value and, therefore, are carefully restored. The authentic landscape ( a net of land&-reclamation and drain canals) is also participating in a forming of the new composition. The newly constructed buildings are projected as the composing elements of the landscape, the park pavilions. Therefore, of all planned for projecting in the western park it is worth marking seven dominating events that play the main part in the new compositional construction of the park.
