In Christianity, the tree, decorated by multi-colored balls, acquires a new meaning: it became a symbol of the tree of paradise with abundant fruits. The tree symbolizes eternal life which people gain once more through Jesus Christ. In Russia, this custom has existed since the 18th century.

The composition also has electric lights and balls. The bronze angel that crowns the main Christmas tree in the city is actively illuminated by directed spotlights.
The construction is temporary and designed to be used during the celebration of the New Year and Christmas holidays.
